Three years ago TODAY we opened the doors of Local Take in the Castro and we've never looked back. Since then, we've had the pleasure of working with over 200 artists and designers, launched a webstore, opened a second location, made tons of new friends and had a blast doing it all. Happy birthday to us!
Recently Hannah Beatrice Quinn joined our growing list of artists. Hannah uses second hand materials for her work, or as she likes to say "materials that have already had one life". Check out these gorgeous wooden cutting boards and bowls.
We also received some really REALLY cool pieces from artist Jessica Jirsa that highlight some of the best spots of The Castro and Mission neighborhoods. She prints images of her original paintings on aluminum that adds a sleek look to the already bright and colorful work she's known for.
Tahoe Wood Maps came through and gave us some huge and hypnotizing laser cut wooden maps of the entire Bay Area. There's also a rainbow version. Yep, you read that right, come on in and see it, its gorgeous!
Speaking of maps, Tray4Us dropped off some more variety of their already unique wooden map trays. The map themes include "Nautical", "Urban Dictionary", "Vintage" and many more.
